I'm finding it hard to believe, but Caroline is one month old today! Time is flying by and we've been enjoying every minute of it. She's always entertaining us - even when she's up late at night (no we still haven't solved that problem!). She's been so busy this month entertaining visitors, running errands with mom, and taking a day trip last week up to Salem, MA to meet her great grandparents - she did so well! It seems like every minute of the past month has been documented in some way - either pictures or video. You've already seen some of the photos so I thought it was about time to put some video up. We've been able to capture her laughing in her sleep and rolling over for the first time (she loves tummy time and is a pro at rolling already!) She was laughing a lot more before I was able to turn the video camera on but you'll get the idea and Erik did some expert editing with the rolling video. . .enjoy!

Supermodel
We (well Erik) finally got the opportunity to take some artsy pics of Caroline for her birth announcement and his portfolio. We tried last week and she wanted nothing to do with it - cried the whole time and peed all over everything. . .twice! So this time we got lucky. Here's a little peek at how the photo shoot went - we should have the announcements in the mail in a few weeks so watch your mailboxes!

Shopaholic
Took our first trip to the mall today. Of course we needed to make sure we looked extra cute. Mom broke out the jeans - they were a little too big but still adorable. She was excited to go - can't you tell? We were on a shopping spree at Baby Gap (thanks Erin and Jen!) and we came across the perfect onesie for our late night queen. . .check it out!
I'm ready!
perfect isn't it??

Night Owl
So it seems as if we have a little night owl on our hands. Caroline has been enjoying some nice afternoon naps resulting in a tendency to stay up real late - we're talking 2 AM! Its really taking a toll on mom and dad - our health (Erik's getting sick), our mood (we can get a little grumpy when we lose so much sleep), and our sanity (you feel like you're out of your mind when you're trying to rock a 2 week old to sleep at 2AM and struggle to stay awake!). As you can see, we pass the time by watching tv in bed and eventually we all fall asleep! Hope this fun little habit can be broken soon - we're trying our best to keep her up during the day, but she is addicted to naps! Wish us luck!

Finally home!
After an extended stay in the hospital we were finally able to bring our little one home on Saturday. We've been slowly adjusting to life with baby and Caroline has been pretty easy on us. She eats well, sleeps well and pretty much sticks to her routine. I'm recovering nicely from my c-section and feeling great! Erik has been incredible with work around the house and diaper duty! Here's just a glimpse of what we've been up to the past few days. . .
All ready to go home - in her sweater from Mem

Home and comfy on the couch

Sunbathing - the doctor says its great for jaundice!

Watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees - Manny just struck out :(
