Family photos

One of my Christmas presents this year was a family photo session with Erik's good friend and fellow photographer Carla Ten Eyck. Carla came by on Monday to work her magic. Happy New Year!

January 1st not only marked the beginning of 2009 but it was also Caroline's half birthday. Yup, she's six months old already. . .HOLY CRAP! We saw the doctor today for her 6 month check up. Once again the doctor was very impressed with her progress! She's up to 13 pounds now. . .must be all that solid food! We got the OK to expand her dinner menu a bit too. I'm pretty psyched. She sampled some cheerios and a few other finger foods today. She also had some chicken for dinner - and LOVED it! We've also been experimenting with the sippy cup - she's getting the hang of it. Unfortunately I'm still camera-less (nothing from Santa, but I will be getting one soon) so no pics to post here, but Erik grabbed a few shots so keep an eye out on his blog for them! (click here)

So I went to go take a picture of Caroline doing something totally adorable the other day and my camera is broken :( Can't take any new pics, but here are the last of what I had taken recently.

Maybe Santa will bring me a new one. . . .

Yummy!

Tried cereal for the first time this morning. She wasn't sure what to think. She kept getting upset when the spoon wasn't in her mouth - guess that's a good sign. She loved sitting in her high chair too! We'll try some more later this afternoon :)
