Baptism

Caroline was baptized yesterday. We had a small ceremony at our house with grandparents, aunts and future uncles :) Aside from the yucky weather it was a very nice day!

With Mommy and Daddy - Caroline wore the dress that Auntie Kelly and Grandma Gail wore when they were baptized

Here she is modeling the new hat that Mem (my grandmother) made for her. . . we love it!

Family photos

One of my Christmas presents this year was a family photo session with Erik's good friend and fellow photographer Carla Ten Eyck. Carla came by on Monday to work her magic. Happy New Year!

January 1st not only marked the beginning of 2009 but it was also Caroline's half birthday. Yup, she's six months old already. . .HOLY CRAP! We saw the doctor today for her 6 month check up. Once again the doctor was very impressed with her progress! She's up to 13 pounds now. . .must be all that solid food! We got the OK to expand her dinner menu a bit too. I'm pretty psyched. She sampled some cheerios and a few other finger foods today. She also had some chicken for dinner - and LOVED it! We've also been experimenting with the sippy cup - she's getting the hang of it. Unfortunately I'm still camera-less (nothing from Santa, but I will be getting one soon) so no pics to post here, but Erik grabbed a few shots so keep an eye out on his blog for them! (click here)
