Monkey See, Monkey Do....

Caroline likes to comment on things around the house. I'll randomly hear her say things like "phone", "remote", "kitties", etc. Yesterday I heard her say "camera" and thought nothing of it, until she said "cheese" and I got curious. I walked into the living room to see this...

Firehouse Visit

Today we took advantage of the nice weather and drove down to visit Erik at work. The drive to Greenwich is about an hour but with the sunroof open and the radio on we had a blast! Here are just a few snapshots from our day plus a bonus video of Caroline's reaction to Erik driving the truck. Enjoy!

Something's Fishy...

Erik bought Caroline her first fish last weekend. I personally believe that he did it just to feed his need for pets that swim or slither, but regardless she loves it. She has named him "Fishy". He has a nice little set up on her dresser, complete with a castle and a plastic plant. She likes to say goodmorning and goodnight to him, and she likes to watch Erik feed him. It's pretty cute!

Win some, lose some

About 7 days into her latest course of antibiotics, Caroline woke up the other morning covered head-to-toe in red spots. I'm not kidding she looked like a little leopard! So off to the doctor we went. Diagnosis: she's allergic to amoxycillin - just one more way she takes after her daddy! So our little ladybug has spent the last few days looking like this:


So we're praying to the benadryl gods and hoping this all goes away soon. Right now we're all feeling like this:


The score for now: amoxycillin 1, Caroline 0. But hopefully not for much longer!

Two months later....

Ok, ok I know it's been quite a while since my last post (before Christmas...yikes!) Sorry....most of my time has been occupied by a crazy little 19 month old :) As I mentioned before, my camera bit the dust so I was waiting for a new one. Well....I have acquired one of Erik's cameras so I've been messing around trying to learn how to use a "real" camera - I'm getting better! Unfortunately I have to rely on my insanely busy photographer husband to download my memory cards so you're gonna have to wait for any good quality photos. But for now I leave you with this (taken and edited on an iPhone).....
