Caroline's first dining experience at a rest stop on the Mass Pike - she got to try a chip for the first time - she's showing it to me :) - there were so many people to watch and wave at, and she really liked the chips - she LOVED it! (She also got to try a french fry on the trip home...lucky girl!)

Our first time in a hotel - she LOVED it!

We spent some time playing inside (it rained a lot!) and Caroline learned how to roll a ball back and forth with Daddy - she LOVED it! (can you see the pattern yet??)

This was also Caroline's first wedding. You guessed it - she LOVED it! It was a quick, outside ceremony and she was VERY well behaved. Except for one other "first" - Erik was Shaun and Jackie's photographer so he was running around taking photos instead of sitting with us. He was up towards the front and Caroline spotted him. In the middle of the ceremony she shouted "Da Da!" and pointed at him! It was so cute! She showed off this new found knowledge repeatedly all night long. (I won't get started on how jealous I am!) She passed the time by playing with a spoon and also Uncle Bill's ring and Grandpa's credit card - she's starting early!! She also got to wear this very lovely dress...

It was Caroline's first time meeting Cousin Kyle. He lives in California and he came all the way out for his brother's wedding. Yeah, she LOVED Kyle too. She waved to him during the ceremony. She was rubbing his hair and checking to see if he was paying attention to her....

This last picture has nothing to do with Caroline, but I had to post it because it was just so amazing. This was Shaun and Jackie's wedding cake. Cool isn't it? I thought so #1 because I've NEVER seen a Mario Brother's cake, #2 because I love cool cakes (I'm addicted to Ace of Cakes on TLC), and #3 because Jackie and her mom MADE THIS CAKE! I was just so impressed!

So that wraps up our weekend extravaganza! Caroline did so well on the LONG trip up and back. She had a great time and so did we! We're so lucky to have such a great little lady!! :)
